Sheffield Futures offers comprehensive information, advice and guidance, to adults of any age who live in Sheffield.

Sheffield Futures advice and guidance service for adults has a national reputation and it has won a number of prestigious awards from the Institute of Careers Guidance recognising excellence and innovation in ensuring clients receive the very highest standard of service.

The service to adults provides a professional and friendly team of qualified staff who offer impartial and confidential advice to adults.
From finding a starting point, to preparing for interview, they offer a wide range of services including help with finding a job or an educational course, including work abroad; help in accessing voluntary work; helping people to improve their skills; or advice on sources of funding.

Extra help is available to those who are unemployed.

Our Information Centre offers a comprehensive resource library, freephone service and a wide range of experience and professional training programmes. We can help with:

  • Courses to help with job search - support for understanding the local job market and making successful applications.
  • Successful interview techniques - practical help in preparing for a wide range of interviews.
  • Confidence building - helping you to be positive when presenting yourself.
  • Psychometric testing - help to identify skills and areas of interest.

Availability of this service is dependent on various criteria, including existing level of qualification.
